Message of Grace Resonates with Odisha:42 Churches United!
As My heart overflows with joy and gratitude as I reflect on the incredible impact of our Crusade in Gajapati district! From January 29-31, 2023, we had the privilege of sharing the life-transforming message of God's unconditional love and grace.
As I looked out at the sea of faces, I was deeply moved by the rich history of Christianity in this region. The Canadian Baptist Missionary introduced Christianity to this district in 1910, and today, there are 42 main Churches, 15 Branch Churches, and 5 Centenary Churches in the Odia Christian Community alone. The Christian population here is a remarkable 40%!
Despite the impressive church buildings and large congregations, my heart ached as I saw the burden of religion, legalism, and tradition weighing heavily on these precious believers. But then, something miraculous happened! Our Crusade brought a message of liberation, freeing hearts from the shackles of performance-based faith. As the truth of God's unconditional love and acceptance sank deep into their souls, I witnessed a transformation taking place. The atmosphere was electric with hope and joy!
I praise God for this incredible breakthrough! Our crusade laid a foundation for the message of grace to take root in the hearts of these beautiful people. Hallelujah! My heart is still rejoicing at the thought of the freedom, joy, and love that will continue to unfold in this region.
"I'm overwhelmed with gratitude as I reflect on our time together sharing about our Identity in Christ. Witnessing people's faces light up as they discovered their true worth in God's eyes - righteous, precious, and a new creation - was truly miraculous.
As we explored the freedom of a love-based relationship with God, I saw the shackles of fear fall away. People's hearts were transformed, and they began to experience the warmth of God's love.
On our final day together, I invited everyone to surrender themselves as living sacrifices to God. What happened next was breathtaking - the power of God's Word ignited hearts, and many young and old alike gave their lives to Jesus. They opened their hearts to receive the message of Grace and Truth, and it was clear that they had tasted the goodness of God.
As Romans 2:4 reminds us, "...the goodness of God leads you to repentance." I firmly believe that the seeds of goodness we sowed will yield a bountiful harvest - 100 fold and more! Thank you for being part of this journey. May the goodness of God continue to transform lives and may we remain humble vessels of His love.
Our crusade was held under a large tent, which quickly filled to capacity on the first day. To accommodate the overwhelming response, we extended the tent, allowing even more people to gather inside. Meanwhile, an equally large crowd gathered outside the tent, eagerly listening to the Word of God.In total, we were blessed to have approximately 20,000 people in attendance, including over 200 pastors, ex-pastors, and native evangelists.
The Crusade wouldn't been a success without the support of our Kingdom Builders!
